Hinche' is a rather small and needy town in Haiti. However, it is worth a visit for a day. The town has some of the friendliest people that you will meet in Haiti, and very safe to walk around. The sites to see are somewhat minimal. Although, about a 30-minute drive from Hinche' is the Bassin Zim. It is a very lush setting with a crystal blue natural pool that is great for swimming.
Pandiassou is a tiny village on the road outside of Hinche'.
There are scheduled flights to Hinche' from Port au Prince. Caribintair and Tropical Airways service this city in Haiti from Port au Prince.
Driving to Hinche' really takes a four-wheel drive, and can take in excess of four hours, air service is very reasonably priced for travelers choosing to visit.
